I`m a big believer that in most cases lex parsimoniae, the simplest solution is the best. Of course the reason behind this is the launch of the Setanta`s new sports channel. To quote Kelly Dalglish (Sentanta news presenter: “We knew men were sports-obsessed but I think most women would be astonished to know men even think about sport during sex. Ah, bless! So they`ve just launched a new channel for the good of the nation`s love life.

When we were at the Adult Only Show in Birmingham I visited the Fairy Goth Mother stand. I say I, as Suze was tied up with Anna Span. Maybe that wasn`t the best way of putting it but I now have an interesting mental image to treasure. LOL. No I mean she was talking to Anna so I wandered off to cover some fresh ground while they were chatting.

I didn`t spend much time at FGM as the staff were run off their feet, and it`s not surprising.

Fairy Goth Mother is a site that I would love to be able go mad on this Christmas and spoil Suze rotten. The clothing is theatrical and glamorous, obviously with a gothic feel, but more than that. The clothing is beautiful in itself, but it also emphasises what beautiful creatures women are.

We`ll have to pop down to their shop one day and give you the real low-down, but until then, have a look round their site and enjoy the picture a I took.

We were on the High Street last weekend and popped into Ann Summers. Purely out of curiosity, it`s not a shop that we tend to visit much as while they have some nice clothing there are other well know brands that have a wider range of sexy and seductive lingerie. In addition, if you want toys their range of (Anne Summers branded) toys is tiny and because of restrictions regarding licensed sex shops and the sale of R18 video in the UK they are unable to stock anything really explicit.

It`s the same problem with kinkier items of clothing and, er, equipment. It`s a small range and not too kinky.

The final problem that we noticed is their range of sizes. Fine for stick insects, but real women`s sizes were not in evidence. Despite the assertions of a very pleasant shop assistant that there were larger sizes on display somewhere … we couldn`t locate them.

That isn`t a problem that you would have for many of the lines at Fun Fashion (http://www.funfashion.co.uk).

Suze`s previous post about our encounter with one of our own reviews at the AOS (The Cupid`s Couch Review) reminded me to post about how the new electric pump for the Cupid`s Couch actually worked out.

I was keen to test the pump as the foot pump with which the couches were originally supplied were effective, but hard work. By the time you`d got the couch inflated you were ready for a rest, not rampant monkey sex. LOL.

However, I had reservations, first the noise and secondly its effectiveness to give deliver sufficient pressure to inflate the couch fully.

First the volume level. The pump is a centrifugal one, 100mm in diameter and 105mm high. Centrifugal pumps have two potential problems if they are constructed cheaply, the first being noise. While not silent the one supplied with the Cupid`s couch is not of low quality ensuring the noise is not intrusive. In the past we bought a pump to inflate an airbed and were nearly deafened by it during operation. Kneeling next to the pump while the couch inflated was no problem with this pump.

The second problem and potential reservation was the ability to deliver enough pressure. Unlike reciprocating pumps centrifugal ones tend to deliver less pressure. As the Cupid`s Couch inflated I was impressed at the speed, then by the firmness the pump achieved. So absolutely no problem there then.

Well not quite. Although the upper and lower chambers of the couch were inflated in record time with virtually no effort on my part, the two small stiffening chambers that run the length of the couch could not be inflated with the pump. This was due to their small size and the different type of valve that their size necessitates. However, three deep breaths (in each) filled these chambers.

So how long does it take to fill a Cupid`s Couch from deflated. From flat to fully usable it`s about 4-5 minutes and without the interminable pumping required with the old pump. And the pump deflates the couch too by simply switching the nozzles to the inlet port on the pump. Great for packing it away again.

While at the Adult Only Show Alex and I turned down one of the walkways and spotted the “Missing Kink” stand featuring the Cupids Couch which we reviewed over a year ago as one of our sex toy reviews. They were featuring the black version which we test drove and the purple one.

We were stood talking to each other about the fun we had fucking on the couch when one of the females on the stand approached us. I pointed out that we had tried, tested and reviewed the couch some time ago and that we thought it was a marvellous sex aid.

By now we were attracting the attention of the other members of the sales team including the proprietor of The Missing Kink, a very amiable and jolly guy called Paul. He approached us pointing out that he had a printed and laminated copy of a review a couple had done. And bugger me if it wasn`t the very review I had written.

What a small world.

It transpired that Paul was now the sole distributor for the Cupids Couch and I recalled that we did give him permission to use our review providing that he credited us with it and he had. He was a really genuinely nice guy and I could not believe the irony of the situation.

We spent a while chatting about the couch and I noticed whilst speaking to him that there is now an electric pump in the box. Not a luxury we had. Poor Alex had to blow the couch up manually and then fuck me on it. All say Ahhhhh!

The cogs started to turn and I realised that one of those would be a good thing. I mentioned that we didn`t have the version with the pump and Paul disappeared to the back of the stand, removed one of the boxes from the shelving and extracted a pump for me. If he only knew just how much time has been saved in pumping up the couch and now gone in to pumping me instead. Lol

There was a lot of interest around the stand and we were pointed out to the potential customers as being the reviewers. I felt a little embarrassed as they approached us, with Paul telling everyone that I wrote the review and saying just how good it was. *blush*

Furthermore, later in the day I was talking to Ana Span (I know, I`m a bloody name dropper. Lol) and I mentioned to her that we review sex toys. I then led her over to The Missing Kink stand to read an example of my work.

Ana was a charming and very attentive lady and I hope to test drive some of her DVD`s in the near future. You just can`t get enough of female produced erotica.

All I can say is there are some really nice people in the sex trade.

I have like most girls always had an interest in shoes. This is not born out of a foot fetish or any other kind of fetishism as such. But if it is a fetish then I would say that 8 out of 10 girls have it. We all seem to like/collect shoes and boots.
