Discover Your Lover is a game from the good people at Tease & Please. Like many of the adult themed games on the market it is designed to help you enjoy a fun and passionate evening with your significant other.

The game is played on a board, following a path of 55 numbered positions laid out as a pentagram. No, I don`t think you do have to be a master of the occult to play and enjoy this game but following the rules does require a little concentration so I`d recommend you bone-up on them before your soirée de l’amour.

The game is billed as one where anything is possible, with the consent of your lover. But then if your lover is so consenting why do you need a game? Well, you don`t but games like this always add the random element to your love-play and that`s a great thing. My main criticism of this game is that the rules are so complicated that understanding them when your mind is, shall we say, elsewhere, is quite difficult.

The tasks you are required to perform range from the intimate and sensual to very naughty. So if you`re not quite at the stage where you`re comfortable with your partner this game may not be for you.

The other criticisms I have are that the question cards tended to be a bit monotonous and a large proportion of those we drew during our playing of the game were from a US survey commissioned by Durex. All of the questions were interesting, but they were not in themselves very erotic.

The questions that we found most interesting were those asked by one partner, posing a question about themselves to the other. That is, for example, “Where do I like to be kissed?” or “Would I recognise your penis in a line-up?”

Then there`s the colour coding of the game squares and the question cards. It`s very difficult to see in low-light, so playing by candlelight is very difficult.

That sounds like a lot of criticisms of a game that in all fairness has a lot of good points.

At the start you tell your partner your ultimate desire, the winner gets their ultimate desire fulfilled by the loser. Suze told me hers and I told her mine. Suze then pointed out that I would have difficulty persuading Sarah Beany and Kirsty Alsop to turn up at such short notice. And quite where they and Suze would find nurses uniforms at that time of night was a further complication.

Anyway, having adjusted my ultimate fantasy to one that Suze alone could fulfil we began the game.

Asking each other questions and following the instructions on the task cards is something that we both found fun and rewarding. The questions make you think about sexual situations, including the one you are in, playing the game and the tasks force you to pay attention to your partner in a way that you otherwise might not. It`s all too easy not to take that extra time and make that extra effort in a relationship, especially after you`ve been together a while. As with all games this one encourages you to make that extra effort.

No matter how familiar you are with your partner you can always find out more about them. While I don`t think Discover Your Lover taught me anything about Suze that I didn`t know already it did make us talk about sex, laugh and relax in a way that we don`t always give ourselves time to do.

I have to admit that we didn`t gather together the list of items that the instructions stated we might need to play the game. These included shaving foam, a razor, fresh fruit, cream … but don`t worry if you haven`t got these items the game advises you to move on to the next task for which you do have a prop.

I think improvisation is the key to enjoying a game like Discover your lover. To play it to the letter of the rules and follow every instruction word-for-word would be very involved, and not so much fun. We found that with improvisation to get around the tasks we couldn`t perform and embracing the tasks that we could carry out made for an enjoyable evening.
The best advice I can give is to take the rules as your guide, and not to follow them slavishly, relax in a comfortably warm room and let the game enhance your evening of love.

If you have been reading our blog AlexSuze.com since it`s inception just over 3 years ago you will know that we have been trying to register with Britblog. They are a British bloggers listing and for some reason they wouldn`t accept us on to their directory.

We wondered if they thought we weren`t British or perhaps we were too British, we even have the Union Flag proudly displayed on our banner. But for some reason we had attempted to join twice and were turned down without even an email to say we had been rejected or why.

So we mounted a campaign to bring our quest to light and posted about it several times on AlexSuze. Still no response despite my email to them. We gave up.

That was until February this year and we tried one more time to get registered with them and we waited…

…then finally out of the blue they emailed us to say we had been accepted on 13/04/08. Needless to say we were elated that after all this time we had been accepted as a British blog.

The jubilation wasn`t to last for long.

I checked out their site on 23/04/08 to see that they had closed it down. It seems that they have been deluged with spam over the four years they have been going and the final straw was when they were hacked just recently. Yesterday they had a page explaining the problems, now they have reduced the site to one page explaining the issues they`ve faced.

We don`t believe it, we waited for almost 3 years to be accepted. Then we are added for just 10 days before they have to shut up shop.

However, now we are running things over at Adult Blog Hub we hope to see some of the adult bloggers who were registered with Britblog come and join us. The more the merrier, it`s just like a bloggers orgy over there.

The Defamer has a great article here debunking the film of Marilyn Monroe giving a blowjob to (it is suggested) one of the Kennedy clan.

The key points they make are:

· The film was supposedly made of Marilyn Monroe as a starlet. If filmed in this time period of Monroe’s life, why would the feds have cared about the activities of a young starlet, considering that Marilyn Monroe had not reached the heights of fame at the time this footage was claimed to have been filmed?
· “You see instantly that it’s Marilyn Monroe – she has the famous mole.” This is a quote by Keya Morgan, which is one of the flimsiest pieces of evidence ever presented. Just because this alleged film has a person with a mole, it’s instantly Marilyn Monroe?
· Essentially Morgan is claiming that this is a bootleg copy of a classified FBI film. So if an original is classified, why would the FBI allow this public brouhaha in the press and not stop this sale from taking place? Why would this film copy not be destroyed?

I found this site today and I`m having mixed feelings about the idea. There`s an old saying that you can`t cross the same bridge twice. Rape is the violation of one human being by another. Or perhaps more accurately the violation of a human being by a subhuman low-life who most people wouldn`t piss on if they were on fire. It`s a fact that most rapes are carried out by men on women, women raping men does happen, but the obvious practical difficulties are so immense it`s virtually unheard of.

Being a crime against women it`s often difficult to see how women in certain situations can guard against the possibility of rape. There are measures a woman can take to sensibly reduce the risk but sexual predators are notoriously cunning.

There may be an answer for women in South Africa. It`s an extreme answer, but then rape is an extreme and abominable crime.

According to The First Post the words of a rape victim have inspired a new device:

“If only I had teeth down there”

The device (pictured) is worn internally by the woman. When the scumbag penetrates her the upward-facing teeth latch on to his penis and stay there. The device can only be removed by a doctor. Explaining that, and running down the street with blood running from your crotch could be interesting.

Not everyone`s happy though. Surprisingly Charlene Smith, one of SA`s “leading anti-rape campaigners describes the device as “Vengeful, horrible, and disgusting”. Personally I don`t see that as a criticism. The crime itself is horrible and disgusting and why shouldn`t the woman feel vengeful?

The other criticism is that the rapist, now somewhat aggrieved at the device biting into his penis, might become more violent. Well, that is a possibility but firstly he`s already being violent with the victim and secondly as a man I can testify that if I had multiple sharp teeth incising my cock I`d be trying to get the thing off, not worrying too much about anything else.

In all seriousness while the device does seem to offer women empowerment it has to be the dysfunctional elements of society that change their behaviour, not the victims. And with 1.7 million women being raped in SA every year that change can`t come soon enough.

Have you ever tried to invent the most ridiculously cheesy, or naff film title you can. Well in the office we occasionally do, but when someone today actually said that Jenna Jameson had made a film called Zombie Strippers I thought they were pulling my leg.

They weren`t.

Sadly, from the reviews I`ve read of the film, the title`s the best part of the whole movie. When the first user comment on IMDB says “Not as good as it sounds” you have to question whether it`s one worth watching. However I`m sure I will and bring you the lowdown on it.

It has Jenna and Robert Englund (Freddie Krüger himself) so there must be some good moments in there. And if not it`ll probably turn into a cult classic.

Since taking over Adult Blog Hub we`ve been making changes to it. This process is quite painstaking and will continue for a while yet.
