The photographer who took the classic 1970s poster shot that adorned a million bedroom walls in the has died at 63 after a ten year battle with cancer. Martin Elliot took the iconic shot of his then 18 year old girlfriend in 1976.
He is survived by his widow Noelle.
It’s unlikely that a poster will ever be as enduring an image again. Subtle, cheeky and brilliant the poster is instantly recognisable and unlikely to be matched in this Internet driven world of ephemeral imagery.
