Sasha Grey

While writing my previous post about Sasha Grey’s new film Malice In La La Land I realized how little I knew about her. So here’s a quick resume of the starlet for those of you who, like me, need to catch up with her career.

Sasha was born on 14 March 1988 in Sacramento California.

She now lives in New York.

She’s 5’6” tall, weight 110 pounds with a 32B-26-31 figure.

She has brown hair and hazel eyes.

Moved to LA in 2006 to begin a career in adult films.

Sasha is already winning AVN awards (best three way scene January 2007), but although nominated didn’t win the best New Starlet Category. The competition must have been pretty stiff for that title, as were the men in the audience I suspect. In 2008 she did become the youngest performer to win the AVN Best female Performer award.

Sasha is that rare adult performer who seems to be making a success in the adult and mainstream movie and modelling industry. She’s been featured on the Smashing Pumpkins’ 2007 album cover “Zeitgeist” as well as gaining critical praise for her appearance in Steven Soderbergh’s “The Girlfriend Experience”

Bad Alice

Malice In La La Land looks like it’s going to be a sensational movie? Not heard of it, well that’s not surprising as it doesn’t start filming until 9 July 2009.

My source inside the production team was chatting to me on Friday and let slip a few really exciting pieces of information.

The movie will feature car chases and “explosions”.

The CGI effects are going to be undertaken by a couple of experts from Pixar.

The sets? Well so far we’re led to believe that they’ve spent €40,000 (Yes forty thousand Euro)

Car chases, explosions, amazing sets and CGI? Adult movies have really come of age don’t you think.

And one more tiny point. The movie will star the sensational starlet from Sacramento – Sasha Grey.

One of Phil Barry`s latest enterprises is Tacklebox Productions. The company specialises in gay films and has just teamed up with Pacific Sun Entertainment to bring its product to the American market.

The deal covers distribution of Tacklebox content on all channels, DVD distribution, video on demand and pay-per-view etc. With more than 70 titles in its portfolio already there`s plenty to work with.

Time will tell if director John “Moggy” Mason`s films will find an audience in the US.

Cathy Barry, wife of Phil, makes a cameos appearance in ‘Fantasy Fucks: Dreams Can Cum True` one of the first titles to be released by Tacklebox in the US.

 … Many people in Swindon seem to think it is.

According to the Swindon Advertiser there has been “[an] Illegal porn explosion in Swindon”

What this amounts to is that a Chinese illegal immigrant Zhong Chen has recently been charged with selling unclassified and therefore highly illegal pornographic DVDs around the construction sites and industrial estates of the round about capital of England.

The titles apparently include some activities that would simply not see the light of day if they were to enter the UK via legal channels as they would be refused a certification by the BBFC. Specifically one of the titles included sexual acts with a dog.

The reason that there is such an appetite for DVDs sold in such an obviously illegal manner is that Swindon council will not grant licences for its local sex shops to sell R18 titles. Total prohibition of something does not mean that the public will lose its appetite for it and by denying legal access means that as in the Swindon case a black market will develop.

Draconian control of erotica and pornography has never worked and always forces the trade underground. A policy of “No R18 in Swindon” may make anti-porn groups happy but surely even the most naïve opponent of adult must realise that the Internet provides an alternate source of material that is accessible from anywhere – and much of what`s available there isn`t properly regulated either. Or if you really want a physical DVD to play you could just take a trip up the road to the first town with a council who aren`t as self-delusional as Swindon`s.

Adult shops in the town are reporting that sales are already slowing and with the retail sector in general taking a hit because of the world situation this can only get worse. The local head of commercial regulation believes that Zhong was a just part of a larger, organised pirating operation. As a small part of a larger criminal gang he`ll soon be replaced, while law-abiding retailers could close because of falling profits caused by the council`s policy.

So should be relax regulation on adult material?

In conclusion I`d have to say no, there isn`t too much regulation when it comes to porn.

However as in every area where bureaucracy impacts on the individual, if a person`s freedom of choice is compromised there are those who will work outside the system to get what they want or make a quick buck. Within a regulatory framework we have control and can ensure that what is available covers all but the most extreme of tastes while ensuring that it is not exploitative of those who produce/appear in it. Nobody in their right mind wants minors to have access to porn either, but that`s exactly what can happen if you make the only source of porn an unscrupulous criminal element.

Not the sort of title that I`d normally put on a post but it is exactly the title of the movie Suze and I watched this afternoon on Red Hot TV.

Fitty With Big Titties Gets Fucked is an amateur title from the online arm of Red Hot TV, a channel that`s existed for over a decade, broadcasting softcore porn on the UK`s satellite channels. Freed from the constraints of the UK`s strict broadcast franchise licensing conditions by construction of it`s video on demand online site at redhottv.co.uk, they now provide the teeming mass out there (that`s you guys) with hardcore porn on demand.

Being populated with amateur titles the channel is different in character from its sister channel TelevisionX.co.uk. The people you see in the scenes, while enthusiastic, are not professionals, though the lighting and camera crews are obviously not guys who just happened to pop down from the local pub. Why do I mention that? You`ll see later.

He looks like a boy I used to go to school with who we called Rollo, so in the absence of another name I`ll call him that. Tighter camera work and more editing would have fixed most of these occurrences, but that would have detracted from the gonzo feel of the scene. Plus you`d have lost the moment where “Rollo” is pounding Fitty`s pussy with her legs around his ears and an arm reaches into shot to pick up what looks like a tube of lube from the bedside cabinet.
