Elder Porn In Japan

Posted by Suze | Adult Movies, Fetish, In The News, Sexuality | Friday 20 June 2008 4:22 pm

Time Magazine are reporting that Japan is seeing an increasing deman for what’s being described as “Elder Porn”. I get the feeling this is not quite the MILF-fucking that we see over here in the west. The way it’s described makes it sounds more like an educational video than erotica.

Apparently on senior citizen porn star, featured in Time Shiego Tokuda doesn’t let his 74 years and previous heart attach hold him back. He’s appeared in 350 films over 14 years for Glory Quest. I must admit to being a little sceptical at his claim that his wife doesn’t know. Shiego is apparently his pseudonym, but he might be in for a shock if he thinks that will protect his identity at home when the whole world can read the article and see his picture on the Time website.

Demand for titles featuring older women is increasing at the moment in Japan according to Time, but that doesn’t mean the mature performers are commanding huge salaries. Whereas the young porn stars might be paid $100,000 per film, a mature actress might receive only $2000

Violent Porn Goes Mainstream In The US

Posted by Alex | Fetish, In The News, New Media, Porn Stars, Sexuality, TV | Thursday 19 June 2008 4:43 pm

The debate about whether or not pornography causes violent behaviour gets an airing on US TV this evening via Penn & Teller`s “Bullshit” show. Not the first people you`d think of to promote a discussion on a subject that polarises opinion in many sections of society. It`ll be interesting to see just how this plays out. Though sadly we will not get the show over in the UK for a while.

The show will feature the representatives from XXXChurch.com and the Family Research Council arguing against porno, and others, including Dr Marty Klein (Author of America`s War On Sex) arguing that there is no proven link between watching porn and violent behaviour.

How much difference this will make in changing the attitudes of those against porn and those in the industry is difficult to tell. The remarkable thing is that it`s being aired at all.

You can see a trailer for the show here.

Engineers Of Desire

Posted by Alex | Clothing, Fetish, Passion Show | Thursday 29 May 2008 10:10 pm

Engineers Of DesireAt the passion show we found ourselves surrounded by a huge range of products, from vibrators to video, and as it turns out corsets to chain mail gloves on the Engineers of Desire stand.

I spoke to Cas, the creative talent behind the Engineers Of Desire Name.

She told us, “I am the designer and maker of most of the stuff you can see here. All the corsetry and leatherwear is all my work.”

I asked where she learned the skills which make her creations possible. “Well, I`m self taught … I trained as a metalworker and in jewellery and you can still see elements of that in my work. I started getting into the fetish scene, and really into corset wearing and started making them myself.”

That did not surprise me as we often find that the craftspeople who create these wonderful objects in leather, metal, rubber and PVC originally do so because they can`t find what they want in the market place already.

When I asked exactly what sort of fetishes Cas was in to she replied with an impish smile “Body piercing, tattoos … ” I got the feeling that list might not be exhaustive.

Some of the items on the EoD stand were quite pricey so I asked if customers are put-off by the higher priced but unquestionably beautiful items. “There is a lot of corsetry on the market, the [mass produced] and the hand made. People know the difference when they see it and they like it.”

The difference is in the unusual details and forms. I asked Cas where she derived her inspiration from. “I don`t know … at work, in the workshop, things just come to me. I work with Nico, my partner and a lot of it is just our personal taste.”

I had to ask – how much does one of the EoD corsets cost? “They start at £175 – up to £300 for one of these natural grained wild animal leather. The leather is from animals culled in northern Europe. For custom work it`s £400-£500.”

The fetish community are very visually aware, clothing for them can be very important, so do the buyers of custom items approach Cas and Nico with ideas of their own? “The people who come to me like my work and then we work together on [the item]. When they come in I can see the shape and style of the person and from there we work together [on a piece].”

The gallery on the EoD site shows how imaginative their work is. The quality of each creation is of the highest order, making each piece beg to be worn.

Cage X-Press Industries

Posted by Alex | BDSM, Fantasy, Fetish, Toys | Thursday 27 March 2008 10:28 pm

The Internet is full of equipment for BDSM play. This ranges from the faux fluffy handcuffs to seriously intense looking equipment. If your needs are at the latter end of that scale then you should try visiting Cage X-Press.

The company have a pedigree of supplying metal items to the BDSM community and their range is impressive. However I did notice that some of the items listed are discontinued. The equipment looks sturdy and as if it will take a lot of punishment. However as we haven`t visited their very authentic dungeon on the Holloway Road we can`t say we`ve had “hands-on” their products.

Cage X-Press are now supplying totally bespoke items. While this means that you get exactly what you want it also means lead times from date of order are quoted as 4-6 weeks. Not great if you`re the impatient type, but then again I suppose the anticipation of the arrival of your new industrial strength toys would more than make up for that.

Sensibly the cages Cage X-Press supply are collapsible, making transport to a munch-away-from-home easy. While I`m not an expert on cages the designs look innovative and intriguing.

What`s more the company have recently added a small range of wooden furniture to their online catalogue. You`ll have to visit their main page and click on the link on the left sidebar to get to it. The site is set out as a frames page and although I could embed a link to the appropriate section you wouldn`t be able to navigate away from it.

It makes me want to rekindle my woodworking skills.

The Mansfield Dungeon

Posted by Alex | BDSM, Fetish, Venue Revue | Tuesday 12 February 2008 6:27 am

Mansfield Dungeon, A-Rouse.comWe arrived at the Mansfield Dungeon at five minutes to two on an overcast Sunday afternoon. We`d arranged to meet our hosts there a few days earlier and managed to drive straight to the door without taking a wrong turning. The entrance is innocuous and discrete; I knocked, heard the sound of footsteps, a key turned in the lock and we were welcomed into the Mansfield Dungeon by Mistress Falstaff …

The Mansfield Dungeon is owned and run by Mistress Falstaff (aka Maria) and Roxanne (aka Ian). The dungeon is actually a product of Maria and Ian`s relationship, and having spoken to them on that Sunday we can categorically say it is a labour of love. Love between Maria and Ian and a love of the BDSM scene.

Mansfield Dungeon, A-Rouse.comWe had the opportunity to talk for several hours about their lives, the dungeon and their experiences of BDSM and the TV scene. There is a lot to tell and therefore we`re going to be splitting this feature over more than one post. To begin with we‘ll introduce you to the dungeon, then in subsequent posts to the people behind it, Maria and Ian.

The Mansfield dungeon is above all an intimate and welcoming place. The dungeon offers scheduled events (see the event calendar on the site for details) or can be hired for private parties of up to 15 people.

The dungeon`s ethos seems to be based around the concept of friendship rather than a commercial enterprise. Maria (Mistress Falstaff) is a pro Dom, but calling her that is too simplistic. Maria is a lifestyle Dom, she`s also pro because of the way in which she realised and developed the dominant side of her personality. More of that in the next part of this feature.

People travel from far and wide (literally) to attend parties at the Mansfield dungeon. When we arrived a couple had just popped back from their hotel to pick up bags they had left there after the party the night before. I can`t say exactly where they were from but they had a long drive home, and were regulars so obviously believe the experience is worth it.

Mansfield Dungeon, A-Rouse.comThe reason has to be the atmosphere. The dungeon is well appointed with equipment for play of various kinds (as a non-expert I`ll let the images speak for themselves). Whatever your preference from a simple flogging, to rope suspension, or an evening on the Queening Chair, or maybe attached to the imposing steel pyramid, the dungeon can cater for you.

What`s more Maria can arrange for you to be attended to by a Pro Dom, or for you to express your Dominant side over a pro sub. These are not just random people individuals plucked from a chat room, each pro invited into the Mansfield Dungeon is thoroughly vetted, both for their character in the Dungeon and outside.

As Ian explained ” … we wine and dine them, get to know them [before accepting them]”

Because Maria and Ian know the six pro Doms currently working with the Mansfield Dungeon so well you can be sure of the correct match between a submissive and Dom. Doms always work under the supervision of Maria to ensure things don`t get out of hand.

We were interested to find out where the equipment in the dungeon is sourced. Maria explained that one of the regular users of the Dungeon made both the suspension frame (with removable stocks) and the Queening Chair. This typifies the symbiotic relationship the Dungeon has with its clients.

Friendship is a word that kept coming up in the interview, and friendship can only come from trust. The clients who use the dungeon know that Maria and Ian want to ensure that they are safe at all times. On party nights they tend not to play with the clients, standing back and maintaining a sense of perspective. That way if the play gets out of hand they can, as caring responsible hosts, intervene to ensure that the experience is intense, but safe.

Mistress Falstaff is a true Dom, with a deep understanding of the BDSM scene. She derives evident enjoyment from her role as Mistress of the dungeon. This was illustrated several times during our visit in, for example, her description of the use of riding crops brought a wicked glint to her eye. Later she offered to introduce me to a butt plug of monstrous proportions, a kind offer that thought it best to decline.

Mansfield Dungeon, A-Rouse.comThe clientele of the Mansfield Dungeon includes people from all walks of life, all backgrounds. They all know that time spent in the capable hands of Maria and Ian is guaranteed to be memorable.

Some of the equipment is obviously popular the telltale rope marks on wood and polishing of steel rings tell you that. Other equipment is only used by a small number of people. Each to their own. The prime example of that is the cage (pictured) used only by one male client. Maria commented that he`s very responsive to touch, particularly tickling, he also enjoys being suspended and tickled.

Maria and Ian were at pains to point out that they offer a non-sexual service. The Mansfield Dungeon is about exploring the boundaries in a safe sane and consensual way. The pleasure to be derived from that is easily enough for their clients.

There`s an evident pride in what Maria and Ian have achieved with the Mansfield Dungeon that is evident when they describe the place, the parties and the people that play there. It is a pride without conceit, they take pleasure in giving pleasure, especially if that pleasure derives from pain LOL.

Mansfield Dungeon, A-Rouse.comSuze now has a dilemma. Maria described how she has, on occasion, invited friends (unaware of her involvement in the BDSM scene) to take part in “A party with a difference”, and they have thoroughly enjoyed it. As we wound up the interview Maria offered (to us both but directed to Suze I noted) “Give me five minutes [to show you what a Dom can do for you]”

Suze has Maria`s number …

In the next part of this feature on the Mansfield Dungeon, Mistress Falstaff and Roxanne, we`ll explore their relationship and how they came to create the dungeon.

The New Sex Crimes: Electronic Obscenity and Censorship

Posted by Alex | Fetish, Freedom Of Expression | Saturday 9 February 2008 8:00 pm

Big BrotherI found a post on Informed Consent by “eleventh hour” recently which has a few things to say on the subject of the UK governments attempts to bring this law onto the statute books.

The discussion, which the post describes was entitled “The New Sex Crimes: Electronic Obscenity and Censorship“, and took place on 19 Jan 2008 at The Institute of Contemporary Arts in London.

The law speaks for itself. The wording is an attempt by the government to apply its understanding of the perceived “problem” with some “extreme porn”, and in so doing somehow legislate against fruit loops like the Graham Coutts (who murdered Jane Longhurst), by arguing that his “obsession” with “Viloent porn” led directly to Jane Longhurst`s tragic murder.

It is the wording that is at the centre of the controversy surrounding the act. Surveys have shown that across British society, in both the BDSM and vanilla sections of our society, the vast majority of people are in favour of legislating against non-consentual and genuinely abusive activities and their dissemination via any means including the Internet. What they do object to is a criminally (no pun intended) badly constructed law that would lead to the potential for any number of law-abiding citizens in close, caring and private BDSM relationships to be locked up.

Three notable absentees from the original panel were representatives from the BBFC and the online porn channel Strictly Broadband.

Eleventh Hour reports that “[it was] pointed out that although the necrophilia and bestiality clauses are problematic, the most worrying one, because the most potentially far-reaching, is the prohibition of pornographic imagery of “an act which threatens or appears to threaten a person’s life”. He said that this could easily cover any bareback sex, or sexual acts without a condom because it would ‘appear to’ carry a risk of HIV infection (we might also add any act that draws blood, on the same basis).”

This is the sort of problem the act seems designed to create – define “harm” if you can.

Another worrying opinion voiced by Feona Attwood (principal lecturer in media at Sheffield Hallam University) ” … past experience suggests it will not be used against large, mainstream producers of pornography with heterosexual content, but against amateurs with minority sexual interests.” Which seems at odds with a society which prides itself on polytheism and the rights of the individual.

There seems to be a feeling that the bill is part of a move to claw-back some of the civil liberties and achieved by and since the Wolfenden Report.

The post winds up on the possibility that the reason for the withdrawal of representation from the BBFC was because the organisation didn`t wish to be speak in support of the dissenters to the bill and therefore be accused of “leniency” when it came to classification and censorship of films being submitted for UK release.

You can, and should read the whole article here. Learn about the opposition to the act here.

The Fantasy Company

Posted by Alex | Fantasy, Fetish, Photography, Video, clubs and Clubbing | Monday 28 January 2008 8:09 pm

A-Rouse, The Fantasy CompanyWhen you`ve found your perfect partner the possibilities are endless. Aren`t they? But what if you want to indulge yourself and your partner to the full and act out your wildest fantasy? It`s not like you can just pick up the Yellow Pages and look up a company in the “Wildest Fantasies” section now is it … well actually you can!

The Fantasy Company was started by Jim and Jen because they found themselves in the same predicament as numerous other couples. They wanted an intimate service but had no way of knowing who to approach, or if they could find someone who offered to fulfil their needs, who they could trust.

In their case it was when Jen said “I’d love to get some sexy photographs taken before everything goes South”. A simple enough task you would have thought, hire a photographer, attend a shoot and have the images blown up for the picture above your bed. But think about it; How do you know the photographer is competent for such a personal shoot? Do you know that they, the lab, or anyone else involved in producing your wall art or treasured erotic album is discreet and reliable?

That`s where TFC come in. As Gav, one of their team, told us “We are approached by photographers to shoot for us on a regular basis. [however] we don`t just let anyone work for TFC.” Gav went on to explain that the criteria they use for the selection of what might be termed “Fantasy providers” is rigorous. It doesn`t matter whether the provider is supplying a still –photo shoot, adult movie experience or pole dancing lessons. If the team at The Fantasy Company don`t think that they are competent, trustworthy and discrete The Fantasy Company will not use them.

Trust is a word that came up throughout our interview with TFC. To fully enjoy your experience with TFC you have to feel at your ease. When you are relaxed you can have fun and that, after all, is what The Fantasy Company is about!

The range of products offered by TFC is broad, covering many of the fantasies that you might already have contemplated. Prices start at than £39 for “taster” fantasies and increase with the complexity and nature of your dreams. If you can`t see your fantasy on their site they can construct a fantasy to your exact specifications.

Browsing their web site you can see the thought and care that has gone into creating this very personal service. If you decide that an adult fantasy is for you and purchase one from TFC you`ll be in for a treat.

If you opt for one of their “Fantasies In A Box” it will arrive in a deliciously pink presentation box (See inset image). A mark of the care TFC take to ensure you feel special from the moment your fantasy begins.

A-Rouse, The Fantasy CompanySelect something a little more special, perhaps a kidnap fantasy, and you`ll meet the friendly and fun-loving team (left). They manage to combine a matter-of-fact and professional approach to each fantasy with an obvious joie de vivre that puts anyone at their ease. TFC were featured recently on Bravo`s “Sexorama” show as they designed and executed a kidnap fantasy for a lucky couple.

There`s an openness about the company that permeates everything they do too. From the website, where each fantasy is clearly priced, to the atmosphere in the companies offices everything is designed to ensure that the whole Fantasy Company experience is relaxed and fun.

The company`s website is currently in the process of a redesign. Suze had a sneak preview of the new one and was very impressed. We can`t wait to see it go live.

So how do you purchase a fantasy from TFC? Well, via the website, call them on 0870 0663583 or pop in to Harrods. Yes that`s right Harrods. If you want to see just some of the products that TFC have to offer (including Burlesque Dancing, Belly Dancing and Pole Dancing courses) you can pop down to Knightsbridge. If you`re there on 13th or 14th of February 2008 you`ll be able to meet some of The Fantasy Company team.

Lizeth Strange Launches IPTV Channel

Posted by Alex | Fetish, Film, New Media, Porn Stars, Video | Sunday 13 January 2008 1:56 pm

A-Rouse.com, Scandinavian AdultFemale producer, Lizeth Strange, is set to launch her Scandinavian Adult Channel on 7th February 2008. Lizeth`s company, Belais-Production, which was nominated for `Best Film` with `Danish Deluxe Hardcore` in the 2007 Scandinavian Adult Awards, owns, sells and buys exclusive content from adult companies in the Scandinavia territory; much of which has never before been available outside of Scandinavia.

Lizeth says; “The idea is to get Scandinavian porn out to a larger audience and I believe that IPTV is not only the best way to do this, but that it is also the future of broadcast. With Belais I strived to create a new way of thinking, in that I make movies for couples, from a female point of view. This does not mean the films will be soft and are, in fact, far from it, but as a female we see things in different ways and my films are intended to open men`s eyes to this. Scandinavian Adult is both a way of showing my own work and that of others in my territory.”

Lizeth is working closely with Scandinavia`s biggest adult companies, Maxs Film and Bestseller (Sweden) and the channel will showcase latest releases, unseen and popular archive footage and content from independent Scandinavian labels.

Lizeth concludes; “My motto is; life is too short for poor quality porn.”

Steeling The Moment

Posted by Suze | Fetish, Toy Reviews | Monday 7 January 2008 11:07 pm

EroSteelReaders who are here from AlexSuze will already be aware that both Alex and I review sex toys on our site. Over the years we have covered many named brands and everything ranging from the standard vibrator some of the latest high tech toys out there.

Well, there is one toy that we haven`t had the pleasure of yet and I say yet because I do aim to try one out in the near future. And that is the stainless steel sex toy, it intrigues me how the feel of metal inside me and the weight will work.

In my quest to find some of the most interesting and well made toys on the market I came across this site and it was just like discovering an Aladin`s cave of wonderful new toys to try. Their website is a delight to navigate and is wonderfully put together and offers advice on the usage, cleaning and care of their stainless steel range.

EroSteel have something for the everyone, ranging from the novice to the full on BDSMer, including a wonderful range of collars like this one I have my eye on and this object of desire which I could find many uses for. ;) Or if you are full on why not try one of their cock and ball play items.

Here is what EroSteel have to say about their company:

For Your Nymphomation

Posted by Alex | Clothing, Fetish, Toy Reviews | Friday 28 December 2007 9:11 am

A-Rouse.comFor Your NymphomationFor Your Nymphomation is a company that Suze discovered and mentioned on AlexSuze a while ago. The company produce a range of products specifically for the adult market.

As their site says:

For Your Nymphomationâ„¢ (FYN) storage cases are designed to discreetly hide your ‘pleasurables’ – e.g. condoms, sex toys, pornographic magazines & DVDs, floggers, and other adult novelties. Parents can now be relieved to have a locking case to hide their adult items from their children.”

Now, we already use a suitcase to store our most used sex toys, but that does has its drawbacks as the toys are simply floating around in the case, un-retained. As for the FYN products however:

“Our BDSM collection is designed to store your paddles, floggers, canes, and other larger items … All of our storage cases are constructed of faux leathers with water-resistant nylon linings, both of which easily wipe clean with soap and a wet cloth if a lotion or lube gets spilled.”

There are various pockets and compartments to ensure your toys stay undamaged and esily accessible

All very practical and from the look of the items displayed on the site, very well thought-out. The prices are reasonable too, nice to see when so often anything that`s perceived to be “specialist” usually has a hefty percentage added to the ticket price.

Sadly because the company is in the US we haven`t been able to get our hands on any of the products to road test. However if we do we`ll be sure to return to For Your Nymphomation in future.
