There seems to be no stopping the eroFame show, Europes premier B2B adult event, as Wieland Hofmeister, head of Mediatainment Publishing eroFame GmbH told us:
“This year’s eroFame trade convention in Hanover, that ended on October 5 after three days of interesting news and successful business, set new records, and not only with respect to the number of exhibiting companies or the size of the exhibition space. The number of visitors also eclipsed the figures from 2011 and 2010. “We are extremely happy that we had the privilege of welcoming more than 3,200 participants in Hanover this year,” says Wieland Hofmeister, head of Mediatainment Publishing eroFame GmbH. “Apart from the staff of the exhibiting companies, the service teams of the various service providers who worked at eroFame, and the representatives of press and media, there were almost 2,100 trade and industry visitors in Hall 2 of the Hanover fairgrounds during eroFame!” These visitors were treated to brand-new products, concepts, ideas, and services from the various segments of the market on roughly 10,500 square metres, courtesy of the 165 exhibiting companies. Due to the size of the exhibition floor, the multitude of exhibitors, and the impressive number of new products that were presented at the trade convention, a few hours weren’t enough to see all the highlights, and even taking everything in in one day was a tough task. “We saw that many visitors couldn’t visit all the stands – particularly on the Wednesday and Thursday of the event – due to lack of time. So the retailers should factor this in next year. One day is not enough for them to see all the products that are of interest for their stores!” Hofmeister continues. “If you want the whole eroFame experience you might want to plan a visit of at least two days for next year.”
What contributed greatly to the wonderful atmosphere were also the Welcome Party on Wednesday and the already legendary Oktoberfest party on eroFame Thursday, an event that will undoubtedly go down in the annals of the greatest b2b parties ever.
“So, eroFame 2012 has set three new records that underpin the importance of this event as one of the leading international trade conventions for the erotic market. Given the difficult economic climate we have in many European countries today, we are more than proud of the results, and on behalf of the whole eroFame team, I would like to thank all the exhibitors, the visitors, and the members of the advisory board from the bottom of my heart!”
The organiser and the eroFame advisory board got together on the last day of the event to draw a summary of the convention, and everybody was more than happy with the third instalment of eroFame. Also, the decision was made at this meeting to continue eroFame as an independent trade event. In the meantime, the date for eroFame 2013 has been officially confirmed: The trade event will take place von October 9 to 11 in Hall 27 on the Hanover fairgrounds. Furthermore, representatives of the leading German (rental) purchasing groups, World of Video (WoV), e-group, and emp announced that they plan to have their annual meeting at eroFame 2013.”
Hall 27 at the Hanover Messe is larger than Hall 2 used for the 2012 event reflecting the growth of the show and the bullish demeanour of the organisers.
