“I’m tired” has taken over “I’ve got a headache” as the number one excuse people use to avoid getting jiggy.

A recent survey by sextoys.co.uk has revealed tiredness as the number one reason to get out of bedroom antics with the excuse getting over half of the votes.

“I need a shower,” “The kids will hear us” and “I don’t have time” were other popular answers. And just over 5% admitted using “My partner will be home soon” as a reason.

Rachel Foux, sextoys.co.uk sexpert blames the effects of the recession and women trying to have it all, as key factors for people’s waning libidos.

“Tiredness, stress and anxiety are our biggest enemies when it comes to bedroom exploits, says Rachel Foux. If more people said yes to their partner rather than make excuses, we would actually be a more relaxed nation as sex is actually a stress buster and releases endorphins to the brain.”

Due to the recession people are working harder and are under more pressure, especially those with their own businesses. Women also have to go back to work sooner after having children which is making us a more tired nation.
