The BBC reported on Friday that the first charges have been brought under the Criminal Justice Bill (2008). The case involves a defendant, Alan Moore, who has also been charged with offences against a 15 year old girl.
While this does bode well in that almost 8 months have elapsed since the bill became law the outcome of the case is sure to be closely watched by groups who believe it to be flawed, and a breach of their human rights and right to privacy.
